Interface ownership
Why a clear boundary is part of a useful engineering scope.
Name each boundary
A package can be well designed and still encounter integration problems when an interface has no owner. Identify who provides each input, who reviews it and which document governs the connection. This creates a practical basis for coordination.
Record the decision
A meeting conclusion is useful only if it reaches the controlled record. Connect decisions with drawings, requirements and revisions. Keep unresolved questions visible rather than allowing them to disappear into correspondence.
Review after change
A change on one side of an interface can affect the other. Revisit the ownership and supporting information when the scope changes. Integration is a continuing responsibility throughout the project.
