Subsea MUX systems

Integrated control-system thinking for subsea drilling applications.

System architecture

Subsea multiplexed control brings together several engineering disciplines and a demanding operating environment. A useful project definition identifies the boundaries between operator interfaces, communications, control equipment and the hydraulic functions they support. Requirements need to remain traceable across these boundaries.

Integration discipline

Document ownership, software revision and interface responsibility should be clear to everyone involved. Reviews bring the disciplines together before late changes become difficult to resolve. Test plans need to describe the intended evidence, not simply a list of activities.

Configuration matters

The delivered configuration is the reference for future service and modification. Maintain an accessible record of approved changes, replacement components and supporting documentation. Operational decisions and safety-critical procedures belong with qualified personnel and the applicable equipment documentation.
