Surface system review
An engineering study of scope, interfaces and records for a surface control package.
The starting point
The study begins with the installed equipment list and the available drawings. Differences between the documentation and the physical configuration become questions for review, not assumptions to be carried into the next phase. The team identifies where ownership of an interface changes.
The engineering approach
Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical disciplines review the same scope. Their observations are collected into a coordinated action register. Each action names the decision needed, the responsible discipline and the evidence that will close the question.
The handover focus
The study concludes with an organised basis for the next engineering stage. The emphasis is a coherent configuration record and explicit interfaces. No performance figure replaces the need for equipment-specific review.
